Clinician Fact Sheet on Screening for Lung Cancer Final Recommendation Statement

January 13, 2014 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force posted today a supplemental fact sheet for primary care clinicians on its final recommendation statement on screening for lung cancer. This resource is meant to help health care professionals talk about lung cancer screening with their patients and determine if screening is appropriate, as well as help clinicians understand how to implement this recommendation. It is important to help patients understand if they are at high risk for lung cancer and if they should consider getting screening.

The Task Force published the final recommendation on screening for lung cancer last month. For more information about any of the Task Force's recommendations and resources, please visit its Web site at www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org.
