September 3, 2019 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released today a final recommendation statement on medication use to reduce risk of breast cancer. The Task Force found that some women at increased risk of breast cancer can benefit from risk-reducing medications. However, women who are not at increased risk should not take these medications.
