January 9, 2018 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released today a final recommendation statement on screening for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. The Task Force found insufficient evidence to recommend for or against screening for idiopathic scoliosis in children and adolescents ages 10 to 18 years who do not have any signs or symptoms.
