The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force seeks comments on a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for asymptomatic bacteriuria in adults. Pregnant persons should be screened for bacteria that can lead to harmful urinary tract and kidney infections; nonpregnant adults should not be screened.
