June 11, 2024 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force seeks comments on a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for osteoporosis to prevent fractures. The Task Force determined that screening for osteoporosis can help prevent fractures in women 65 years and older and in younger women who have gone through menopause and are at increased risk. The draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review are available for review and public comment from June 11, 2024 to July 8, 2024 here.
