November 19, 2024 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force seeks comments on a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for syphilis infection in pregnant persons. The Task Force recommends that all pregnant people be screened for syphilis as early in pregnancy as possible. The draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review are available for review and public comment from November 19, 2024 to December 23, 2024 here. Note the public comment period has been expanded from the standard four weeks to five weeks to account for the holidays.
