The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force posted today three final research plans on topics related to HIV screening and prevention: screening for HIV infection in asymptomatic, nonpregnant adolescents and adults; screening for HIV infection in pregnant women; and pre-exposure prophylaxis for the prevention of HIV infection. The draft research plans for these topics were posted for public comment from February 23 through March 22, 2017. The Task Force reviewed all of the comments that were submitted and took them into consideration as it finalized the research plans.
