April 17, 2012 – The Annals of Internal Medicine published today a review of the evidence on screening for, monitoring, and treatment of chronic kidney disease stages 1 to 3. This review is based on a report that was posted for public comment from March 22 to April 6, 2011, through a partnership with the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality's Effective Health Care Program. The evidence review will inform the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force's forthcoming draft recommendation statement on screening for chronic kidney disease.
