May 11, 2021 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force seeks comments on a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening and interventions to prevent dental caries in children younger than age 5 years. The Task Force recommends primary care clinicians use fluoride varnish and fluoride supplementation in young children to prevent cavities.
