September 20, 2022 – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force seeks comments on a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for depression and suicide risk in adults. The Task Force determined that screening can help identify depression in all adults, including those who are pregnant and postpartum. More research is needed on whether screening can help prevent suicide in all adults.
